Ch'est le nord
Today is the first day of winter.
I'm not kidding. It's 1°C outside and it snowed this morning while I was waiting for the bus. Around the world people are celebrating the first day of spring, while here in the Nord, it's just another day in winter.
The temperature began to cool down since late October and it peaked around Christmas. I remembered waiting for my bus at -5°C. Although now the temperature is around 5 to 10, it feels much colder than in December because of the rain and the strong wind.
What's worse is the fact that my radiator is no longer working. I have to resort to using my oven as a heat source.
This being said, I can still enjoy the rainy weather, provided I'm somewhere dry. (Almost) nothing beats the ecstasy of sipping a cup of coffee, by the window, while it pours, while looking at people running for shelter.
