Selamat tinggal bungaku...
The decision has been made, the final word has been said, Petronas will not allow us to continue our studies in France. So I have about 3 to 5 months left to enjoy this escargot-crazy, wine-addict, cheese-maniac, baguette-loving, country where striking is the national sport. It all depends on whether I'll do my internship here or back home.
To continue or not to continue, that has always been the question I asked myself. I finally have the answer. When I first came here, I didn't even bother to think about furthering my studies in France or not. When I entered IUT, I began to think that entering a Grande Ecole or an Ecole de Commerce might be a good idea. When I was in my second year of IUT, I really wanted to enter an Ecole. When I began my Licence, somehow I have this burning desire to go home as soon as possible. A few months later I began to hesitate between the two options since I feel so comfortable at la Catho. And the question has been tormenting me for a few weeks, especially during the Christmas break.
Now that I know the verdict, am I glad? Yes, at least it cleared my head up. Not only I can now stop worrying whether to continue or not, I can also stop worrying which Ecole or Masters to choose should I continue and how am I going to prepare for the entrance exams. Am I more at rest right now? No, because I still have no idea of what lies ahead for me. Will I be employed? When will I start working? Where will I be working? How about my professional qualification? Who's going to pay for my professional qualification? When the heck would I study for my professional qualification? I'm afraid one of Murphy's Law is right: when you find the answer for one question, ten more will appear.
On the bright side, I'll be home for Raya.
