Orgueil et Préjugé
(Pronunce: Ogh Goy Ay Pray Ju Jay) Buruk betul translation dalam french kan?
Well, I went to see the Premier(if it's Premier in English, it's Avant Première [before premier] in French) of Pride and Prejudice. To my surprise it was in English and not in French, which explains the half-empty-not-so-big-cinema. It was a nice movie really, but not good enough invest any emotions in it. It was a comedy-romantic movie. Yeah, I know it was not meant to be a comedy, but the French laughed at certain scenes. Scenes where the actors are laughing while crying, you know, the kind of laughter-crying when you're so happy, or to cover up your sadness, which I do not find funny after all. But the French laughed. I guess they had to laugh, seeing the actors laugh, avoiding looking stupid for not laughing when the scene is thought to be funny.
So this morning I had my German test. Not so bad i guess, except that i forgot certain words in telecommunication terms like, country code, city code and so on. I answered all questions except for one, the other verb for to ask other than fragen. But I guess I did better than my last test.
And late afternoon, I had my Maths test. Hmmm. Not as hard as the previous one, which led to heavy cursings as soon as I got out of the test hall at that time. Maybe the questions are easier since they're all on things that I did before -dérivation, primitif, statistique, programmation linéaire, matrice. Or maybe, I was not as shocked to see that many questions in so little space, like I was during the first test. I mean, in Malaysia, you'll get, the most 6 questions in a page. Here, the prof crammed up to 15 questions in a page. And you have about 6-7 pages, all to be answered in 2 hours.
I did OK I guess. But I think I could've done better had I not been too pride and been too prejudiced, thinking alah, kacang je lah. Ahahaha. I mean, it wouldn't have hurt if I put more effort revising.
As usual, after the test, I met up with my classmates, and they were all complaining that it was very hard, and it couldn't have been harder. Saying, "Well, you know, it was not that hard" to them would be suicide. So I decided to keep my mouth shut, and if anyone asked me I said "Oh yeah, yeah, I totally agree with you, it was bloody hard". One of them even cried. And I know exactly how it feels. I've been there.
What are you doing the rest of your life?
North and south and east and west of your life?
I have only one request of your life
That you spend it all with me.
All the seasons and the times of your days.
All the nickels and the dimes of your days.
Let the reasons and the rhymes of your days.
All begin and end with me.
I want to see your face,
In every kind of light,
In fields of gold and
Forests of the night;
And when you stand before
The candles on a cake.
Oh let me be the one to hear
The silent wish you make.
Those tomorrows waiting deep in your eyes
In the world of love you keep in your eyes,
I’ll awaken what’s asleep in your eyes,
It may take a kiss or two..
Through all of my life..
Summer, winter, spring and fall of my life,
All I ever will recall of my life
Is all of my life with you.
