from 2005 to 2006

2005 has been a great year. And I hope I could say the same or even better for 2006. The great thing about having a blog is that you can always go back and search into the archives to find out what was being said in the past. And this was what I said on 31 December 2004

My wishes for the year 2005;
My wishes for this year:
+ Get my Titre de Sejour Got it
+ Go back to Malaysia Went back
+ Get my CAF Got it
+ Get an MP3 Player Got it
+ Lose some weight I did but with the extreme definition of some
+ Get good grades... better grades Got them
+ Stabalize my emotions Managed that
+ Super U would not stop giving free plastic bags They did not stop
+ Train tickets go cheaper They go unfortunately, more expensive
+ No more 7 hours of Maths Thank God it happened
+ The price of De Caun et Garcia's DVD would go down to 15 euros Still at 19,99
+ And last but not least, Find that green socks i've always wanted. Found that

Like I said 2005 has been a great year. And let's see what happened in 2005

- I went to ski for the first time in my life.
- I learnt that what's been done can never be undone
- I've been to Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Vatican City
- I moved to Lille
- I started my degree program
- I made my first presentation in front of a 100% french public
- I said things that I've always wanted to say
- I celebrated Hari Raya really alone for the first time
- I had my proper German classes
- I was reminded that saying goodbye is the hardest

If 2005 can be describe in a song, it would be Joni Mitchell's Both Sides Now

Rows and floes of angel hair
And ice cream castles in the air

But now they only block the sun

I’ve looked at love from both sides now

But now old friends are acting strange
They shake their heads, they say I’ve changed

I’ve looked at life from both sides now
From win and lose and still somehow
It’s life’s illusions I recall
I really don’t know life at all
