der den dem das die d'oh
Had my german test today. It was hard. I understand what it says, but i just didn't know how to answer. I mean, the fill in the blanks questions was easy, and even the text translation question was easy, and the numbers as well, but there was a question where you have to write full sentence answers that was really hard. I don't know why, but the teacher has always used me as a benchmark. If I'm OK than everyone else is OK. I mean, he being concern about me is a good thing, but making me the benchmark isn't that some sort of a delicate insult? Hey, if Kimi can do it, than anyone else can too. There was even a fill in the balnks sentence that has my name in it.
"_____ kommt Hakimi?" "___ Malaysia"
By the way the answer is Woher and Aus.
Then after that I had my english test along with the other half of my classmates. It was a hearing comprehension test. Basically you listen to a 2.30 minutes of news and answer the questions. It was about pension age. The part where there was a guy speaking with a Scottish accent was not that terrible at all. I was expecting worse. I guess watching British movies and television series as well as news from BBC do help. Love Actually, Harry Potter and Little Britain, they all have at least on scene with a person speaking with a Scottish accent. I listened to it three or four times, answered the questions and went off after 30 minutes. I went to the CDI to work on my accountings project, and not even after 5 minutes after I sat down, I saw two of my classmates came in. They gave up. And after that one by one they came in. There was only 2 or 3 that stayed until the time was up. And when the last three came in, they came straight to me and said "Kimi, we have bad news for you". Oh my God, did I miss a question? Or did I liquid some answers and forgot to rewrite them?. "You got 16,5 for german". Woppee Doo. I was hoping for 10. But 16,5 is definitely out of this world. "The prof marked your paper since he wanted to see how the beginners are going, and he marked a few others as well but he only told us your mark". Can he stop doing that before anyone calls me the teacher's pet?
I went to see Harry Potter in cinema today. At first I wanted to go with Alina, but she wanted to see something else. A Cannes Fim Festival movie. She really is a movie buff. Then I wanted to ask Syazwan if he would like to see the movies. But even after 50 missed calls, he didn't answer the phone, I decided to watch it myself. I hesitated between the French Version or the Original Version with French Subtitles. Then I thought, Who would want to watch it in the OV? No one would understand. To my surprise, the cinema was full. Then I thought to myself, there can't be this much foreigners in Lille. Oh yeah, there's the subtitle. That's how they're planning to understand the movie. 85 percent of the moviegoers were teenagers. And since I was alone, I got to listen to all their conversations. I thought 'normal' teenagers don't read the books, they just see the movies. But hey I was wrong. Almost everyone was discussing about the story, even upto the 6th Book. And no they do not look like 'geek' or 'weird' teenagers. They look surprisingly normal. And that was a relief for me because at that moment, I felt normal too.
