En Allemagne, c'est Straßburg. Im Frankreich, ihr ist Strasbourg
Today we went to Strasbourg. For the first time we went there to visit the city and not to do something else. I'm not sure if we could do the same in Fribourg since the shops there are so alluring.
We arrived at 10.30. Since it was forcasted that it's going to rain, we decided to go straight away to the Passarelle. The bridge that links France and Germany. Today, it is proven that men would never ask for directions. At least i won't. As a result, we spent 45 minutes looking for the bus stop to take the Line 2 that would get us to the park, and it turns out that the stop is just in front of the railway station.
The first impression that we got when we arrived there is as if we're in an abandoned factory area. We saw a bridge on top of us and we presumed that that's the bridge that the profs' been talking about. We went up the bridge. It was the bridge for vehicles. We could see the old immigration and custom buildings. We continued the bridge and then we realised, laaa, bukan yang ni la, jambatan sebelah tu. Huh. We didn't care. Ambik gambar dulu.
From that bridge to the other, we walked through a park. The distance wasn't that great. 200 meters? But it took us about 20 minutes to cross. Why? Ambik gambar la. We went up the bridge, and in the middle, there was a stop where you can sit. And that was the furthest i went. I didn't even managed to cross until Germany. Ahahaha. Tersangkut ambik gambar.
After an hour and a half there, we went back to the centre ville. Toh and Brian went walking around, while the others ate 'ayam panggang' and went to the mosque. Baru tau wujud masjid kat tengah-tengah Strasbourg. Selama ni balik awal, and balik baru sembahyang. Bolehla duduk lama-lama kat Strasbourg lepas ni.
We then went to the Cathedrale and then we met Nicole in front of the Ice Cream shop. She was with her niece, Lola and a friend i guess, Valerie. We ate some ice-cream and chatted. And then she followed us to look for berret. The famous french hat. Unfortunately we didn't find any. They needed to see someone, so they left after the 3rd shop. We went back to the cathedrale to shop for souvenirs. I was looking for a t shirt with Ustat and Awad. Tak beli pun. When we went out from the shop everyone elso was no longer there. They went to the station already. So we hurried up and we took a street that we've never took before. Sesat lagi. We stopped and asked someone. It turns out that she's also lost. Ahahaha. Kota sesat ke ape ni? Luckily we found a familiar street and we managed to find our way back to the station.
Tonight we watched The Village. Urrgghh. Stressing.
